The seeds germinated faster, demonstrated higher seedling vigor, and developed deep, robust root systems quickly.

A Lifeline for Rainfed Agriculture

While this tech can be customized for almost any crop—from vegetables to cereals—its most urgent application is in rainfed agriculture, which accounts for over half of India's net sown area.

Rainfed farming is notoriously high-risk. If a monsoon delays by a week or a sudden temperature spike occurs right after planting, standard seeds fail to germinate, forcing resource-constrained farmers to spend double to re-sow their entire fields.

The smart coating creates a stabilized microenvironment right at the seed-soil interface. This moisture-retention and immediate nutritional buffer give the seed the exact resilience it needs to withstand early dry spells and heat shocks.
